This is vibrant piece was ironically created durring a time of darkness. A family member who had been on hospice had passed.

This mourner wears a tattered dress and the winds are blowing strongly, beckoning her back towards the past. The sun is setting. The tree is barren as a season and a life ends. This piece was a reminder of the beauty that can still sometimes be found in profound sadness. A rumination on the end of a life and those who are left behind.
