This time of year I generally participate in a challenge called Inktober. I do a lot of digital work these days so this time creating traditional artwork each year is important to me. I also tend to use these challenges to fill up my Treasure Chest for monthly and other giveaways.
I wasn't a big fan of the Inktober prompts this year and after discovering a summer challenge called June Toon which was basically what I had already been doing for Inktober, I decided to take on a different challenge this October. I did something I haven't done in a while - original, traditional pieces.
I participated in Pinuptober and created 18 original marker pieces for this challenge! I combined some words and covered 23 of the 31 prompts. Each drawing took between 4-6 hours from start to finish. I streamed the drawing processes live on Twitch, so I streamed a lot this past month!
You can see photos of all of these on my Instagram and Facebook AND16 of those pieces are now available in my store! The store images are scans so they show a lot more detail plus you get my commentary on the ideas and thoughts behind each piece! I also had some fun with many of the names I gave these pieces. (:
That's all I've got for you in this recap. Working on Pinuptober, promoting Spooky Scapes! and my upcoming art calendar release, and just being a busy mom in the busy spooky season took up most of my time this past month.
Big thanks to anyone that's read all the way through! I genuinely appreciate you spending some of your time checking in on what I've been up to.
Please leave me a like or a comment so that I know you were here and to help all the algorithm things realize I exist. Also, I'd just love to hear your thoughts on any of the art or words I've shared.
Thanks again for reading.
See you around the Internetlands soon!
